Oil tanker on fire ... Traffic diverted through Fern Gully

The police are advising motorists that an oil tanker is now on fire at a section of the Edward Seaga Highway in the vicinity of the Linstead exit.

As such, that section of the highway has locked down to facilitate emergency responders dealing with the situation.

Motorists using the highway heading towards St Ann are being urged to use the alternate routes through Linstead.

Similarly, motorists heading towards St Catherine are being diverted through Fern Gully and Moneague respectively.

We are urging motorists to obey the instructions of Police officers as the Fire Department carries out cooling down operations.
