Senior citizen fights off gunman

A senior citizen on Friday staved off the challenge of a gunman who attempted to enter his home.

Reports from the police are that about 4:15 a.m., Friday, a gunman attempted to gain entry to the senior citizens' house when a struggle ensued between them. The gun fell and the gunman ran.

The weapon, a homemade firearm, was retrieved by the senior citizen and handed over to the Ocho Rios Police.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure .
