Man killed in freak accident at Riverton Landfill

Samoia Brown, 21, of Rushworth, West Bay Farm, Kingston 11, died from injuries he sustained at the Riverton Landfill in the parish on Thursday.

Reports from the Seaview Gardens police are that about 2:15 p.m., Brown was unloading a truck when he slipped and was hit by the tailgate of the truck.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigations continue.
