TugStar makes history with Rate You

TugStar is making history with the video for 'Rate You', shot by Moly Cadet of Natural Views Productions from Turks and Caicos.

TugStar is in Canada promoting his singles and upcoming EP, Kingston Nights. He managed to appear in the video although being filmed in a different

country.

The video targets the issue of domestic violence, showing a man abusing his woman. TugStar appears on a phone screen performing, encouraging the abused to leave her abuser. The video also gives viewers an entertaining twist in the storyline.

"I didn't even realised that we were making history in the way music videos were being made, until a blog site made mention of it saying, 'This video marks the first of its kind where an artiste appeared in his own video via video chat'. We were just having fun and the director came up with the idea of me calling via Facebook, so it kind of felt like I was on set each day," he said. "I am just trying to fill the space with positive music so my listeners can have options."
