It wasn't a typical night at the weekly event, Payless Mondays, as the Oh Canada Team invaded the Shooters Hill venue.

Popular promoter Wanda, the 'Oh Canada Boss' gave patrons a night to remember, especially the women, who he showered with gift bags and baskets for an overall fun-filled night. Musical hits from selectors such as DJ Mental and Matthew Mattic kept the high energy flowing all night.

"Tonight is the official launch of Oh Canada events for 2016. This event is just a sneak peak of what to expect on April 1," said Wanda.

The Hennessy-sponsored event, Oh Canada Pon Di Boat', is set for April 1, at 3B Port Royal Street, Kingston. Tickets are $1,000 presold and $1,500 at the gate.

"Any event that I keep, I always try my best to give back to the patrons, so I'll be giving away numerous gate prizes including a motorcycle, or J$100,000, a flat-screen TV, gift bags, among many other things," Wanda added.

A female patron seemed particularly happy as she flaunted her gift bags, saying, "The party nice. Long time mi nuh get prize at a party. Mi can't wait until Oh Canada Pon Di Boat because, knowing Wanda, the party nah go normal!"

Wanda expressed his appreciation for the support he received and promised Oh Canada Pon Di Boat will be an epic event. Here are highlights from Payless Mondays with the Oh Canada team.
