The Friends of Maverley Support Group, which includes music producer Triston Palmer Jnr, will be staging a fundraising event to assist the Maverley/Hughenden Football Club at Maverley Park today.

Maverley/Hughenden Football was recently promoted to play in the nation's top football league.

"We love our community and decided to lend support in organising this huge event. We will have some of Jamaica's superstars in action. This line-up is equal to some annual events," Palmer, who hails from Maverley, told THE STAR.

He said that dancehall icons Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Admiral Bailey and Ninja Man have agreed to perform at this evening's fundraiser.

"There will also be performances from upcoming artistes. We will be starting the show early, so fans come out for this one," said Palmer who is the son of veteran reggae singer, Triston Palmer.

Maverley Park is located at the intersection of Molynes Road and West Main Drive in Kingston 20. The stage show, which starts at 8 p.m., will be preceded by a fun day.
