Sean Paul burns up Billboard charts
Jamaican recording artiste Sean Paul continues to make big moves on the international scene, as he has topped the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart while securing his ninth overall Top 10 hit on the Billboard chart with pop single, 'Cheap Thrills',
The popular single was done in collaboration with Australian pop singer Sia.
Charting at No. 1 for the second week in a row on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart, Cheap Thrills has gained in performance and has attracted the biggest increase in airplay after being on the chart for 21 weeks.
In the United States, the single has made the biggest gain in airplay and the greatest jump in performance for this week on the Billboard Hot 100. The hit has secured a spot on the chart for 19 weeks, peaking at the No. 6 position thus far.
With his singles Temperature and Get Busy topping the Billboard chart in 2006 and 2003, respectively, Sean Paul is no stranger to the charts. Sean Paul has even made history in the Billboard records as in 2014, his Bailando collaboration with Enrique Iglesias secured the longest run on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart.
With hits dating from the early 2000s to his more recent collaborations and singles such as Hair, which he did with girl group Little Mix, Tornado, Trumpets, and Wine it, Sean Paul has been pleasing his fans on his 'Outta Control' Europe tour which is now afoot. Named after his single Outta Control, the tour started on June 26 in Vienna, Austria. Sean Paul will be going on to Germany, France, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.
