MOUND MANIA - Bounty Killer rocks party stand

As he has done for most of his career, dancehall kingpin Bounty Killer took full control when he graced the Appleton Estate Digicel Party Stand on Saturday.

Chris Gayle had just led the Jamaica Tallawahs out on the field, the opposing batsmen were in place, and the umpires appeared anxious to get the St Kitts-Nevis Patriots innings on the way.

However, Bounty Killer, who had 'flattened' Sabina Park in the short five minutes since he took the mic, decided things were moving too fast.

"One more!" Killer demanded.

The Warlord then demanded that the entire Sabina Park hail Gayle.

"Hail, Gayle! Hail, Gayle!," Killer shouted.

The crowd joined in and Gayle responded to the gesture by pointing in the direction of Killer.

In between the delivery of his songs, Bounty Killer described Jamaica as paradise on earth and argued that the United States would want to capture the island and make it into the 63rd state in the union.

Bounty Killer audience soaked up every bit of his performance, which appeared to have energised the Tallawahs.

The 'Warlord' had hardly left the stage, and patrons had barely taken a sip of the free-flowing drinks, when Gayle's men took a wicket.

And apparently recognising that the people were in a party mood, the Tallawahs ensured that the temperature remained fever-pitched.

Wickets tumbled regularly and DJ Sparks, who was at the controls, never missed a beat.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots never had a chance and in the end, they fell 108 runs short, much to the delight of the Tallawahs fans, some of whom were disappointed about the early end of the game.
