- Says he did not make Facebook post

Popular deejay Darrio yesterday denied making a Facebook post dissing former label mate and head of Subkonshous music, Konshens.

The post was made in a screenshot, taken without the time stamp, which was posted to a local gossip site on the weekend, but was quickly removed. It was never seen on Darrio's Facebook profile.

"Big p****y bwoy a wish fi hear seh mi kill mi self fi walk n talk seh a tru mi lef subkonshens mi pop down..... " the post read in part.

"First, I didn't make the post," the artiste, real name Darrio Johnson, told THE STAR. "Yesterday, mi juss get a call seh 'Yo, wah dat yuh jus post awhile ago?!'"

The artiste said that as soon as he came off the phone to check his social media, he started receiving a myriad of WhatsApp messages, querying his state of mind. Interestingly, upon signing into Facebook, Darrio saw that his profile was in order, with no contentious status.

"Is the pink wall screenshot dem," he said, in reference to the gossip site which houses the alleged screenshot.

In the apparent fake post, reference was made about Konshens' brother Delus, who reportedly shot himself in the head on June 22, 2016. Delus and Konshens started their musical careers together, before separating to pursue solo careers.

END OF CONTRACT

Darrio's contract with the label officially ended in November 2014, but the artiste told THE STAR in a past interview that he stayed on for a time out of loyalty, during Konshens' public contention with Masicka and Demarco. Darrio went on to completely sever ties with the label in September 2015. Efforts to make contact with Konshens for a comment proved futile yesterday.

"From the other day, mi jus see tings a surround me. Dem seh mi get beat up a Ochi, when is Trelawny we a do a videoshoot in a mi hometown," Darrio said, referring to a picture which circulated on social media a few month ago, with the caption stating that he was beaten up and left for dead. That music video/short film will be released in about two weeks, Darrio said.
