Jameik King on musical high
Fast-rising dancehall artiste Jameik King was on sparking form over the recent Christmas holiday as he delivered impressive performances at a number of major events.
"The holidays were very hectic. I had a lot of fun performing for my fans all over the island. I got a good response at all the events, especially at (GT Taylor's) Christmas Extravaganza in St Elizabeth," said King.
Having closed out 2017 on a musical high, the talented singjay plans to step up his game in 2018.
"I'm working on a collab with a very popular reggae singer right now. My team and I don't want to disclose too much about this project, but it should be ready for release by the end of March," he said.
King's management team is headed by UK-based businessman Garthfield Whyte.
"We're currently working with a UK-based PR company called Mastermind Promotion to promote Jameik in the UK and Europe. We're putting together a UK promo tour for March and April," Whyte said.
King is currently promoting a new single titled Just A Little Smile which was released by the Konsequence Muzik label last December.
"My new single is doing well; it's getting a lot of love in the streets. We shot the video for it last week. it's currently being edited and will be ready for release next week," said the artiste.
