Shane O making big impact in dancehall

Dancehall artiste Shane O is proving to be quite the comeback kid, releasing several songs that have been making quite the impact in the dancehall space.

One of his most recent songs, Tek It Tell Mi, was released a week ago. It was recorded two months ago and produced by Countree Hype Entertainment.

And based on his recent track record, it is no surprise that the song has already received more than 200,000 views on YouTube.

"When the song first came out, it was No. 10 on trending (YouTube), and it is still trending. The video and the song drop at the same time, and the fans dem get a surprise and everyone is saying it's another hit," said the artiste, who performed in the Cayman Islands over the weekend.

Shane O has been on a tear over the past four months, scoring two major hits with A Million racking up more than 1.6 million hits and Last Days registering more than 870,000.

Now the artiste is moving aggressively to establish his own record label, SOR Records, by signing two new artistes, Psalms and Judge.

"We always have to look towards the future, and if I can help other artistes to realise their dreams and give them an opportunity in the music industry, everyone will benefit. We need more stars and more artistes to earn and help their own families. Psalms and Judge are very talented artistes, and they are going to make an impact in 2018," he said.
