'My Talent' doing well for Kappa

Fast-rising dancehall artiste Kappa is creating a buzz with his latest single, titled My Talent, accompanied by a music video.

My Talent, distributed by JWonder 21st, was released late last year and is available for sale on iTunes, Amazon and all digital platforms.

"The reception has been great thus far. I feel that this project is doing a lot for my career, and it has no limits to the ears, even the kids love it. The lyrics are clean and positive," said Kappa.

The video was shot in Queens, New York, and was directed by LMR.

Kappa is planning to release an album in the future and is also promoting two new singles, House Pon The Hill and Gringo Dem Ready.

Mixmaster Ovadose releases second single

Ocho Rios selector Mixmaster Ovadose, who ventured into recording last year with the single How Yuh Feel, has just released his second track, I Will Shell The Bar.

"It's doing wonderful all over the world right now. I'm getting a whole heap of calls about the song. Selecta from all over the world ah call mi fi dub plates, jingles," Ovadose said.

While he's promoting the single, Ovadose is also making plans for the sixth staging of his annual show, Detention, in July.

The event will be staged at Gen-X Nightclub at Island Plaza in Ocho Rios.

"Detention is a year-to-year show that people look forward to fi come enjoy them self, an' people asking bout it already. Is a happy event, it's all about 'full-joying' yourself," he said.

Chuck Fenda for Ocho Rios show

Chuck Fenda makes a long-awaited appearance in Ocho Rios on the regular Saturday Night Live show at Mongoose Restaurant and Lounge.

The show, scheduled for Saturday, April 28, will also see performance from comedic DJ Grampa Entatain.

Resident band Yard Rootz will be the backing band.

House DJ Log British will provide music.
