Hylita making musical moves

Dancehall artiste Hylita is now working with talented studio engineer Thee Khemist of Thee Khemist Records and Studio Vibes Records fame.

"Now that I have a producer to work with me full-time and hone my skills in the studio, I'm recording better songs, and I'm sure it won't be long before I get my big break," said Hylita.

The artiste is getting ready to drop two new singles, 'Neva Hold We Down' and 'Glory'.

Both songs were produced by Thee Khemist for Thee Khemist Records/Studio Vibes Records.

"I want the fans to hear my new sound it's more melodious and catchy. So far everyone who has heard these songs have given them the thumbs up," he said. Hylita is also working on his debut EP, which is titled 'Black Wall Street'.

Culture Brown bats for the physically disabled

Reggae artiste Culture Brown's latest single, titled 'Beautiful', takes a serious look at the challenges that people with physical disabilities face in the society.

"There are people all over the world who are physically challenged. I see them everywhere I go. A lot of people treat these people as if they are less than human and I don't like that. I believe we are all children of one loving creator who made us all beautiful and equal in his sight. I hope my song will help to make a positive impact where this matter is concerned," said Culture Brown.

'Beautiful' was produced by Irie Pen Records.

The globetrotting entertainer was recently on the island recording songs for an upcoming album at Leggos Studio and Small World Studio in Kingston.

Some of his other songs are 'Militancy' featuring Beres Hammond and 'Some Like It Hot' featuring Delroy Wilson.

Hitman Walle debuts latest collab

Hitman Walle is stepping up promotion on his latest combination single, 'Caribbean Queen', where he teams up with fellow artistes Ginjah, Singing Melody, Power Man, Jah Mason, and George Nooks.

He said that dancehall artistes need to think about doing more guest features with their singles and albums.

"The rappers do it, combining their talents for hit songs with wicked verses. The spirits of competition and collaboration are both essential to music, and guest features can elevate music more. We see it with rap and R & B - so we need more collaborations like this in dancehall today," Hitman Walle said.

He said the experience with recording with the artistes was quite productive.

"It was a great vibes in the studio with all the artistes, that is what made music so great in the 90s, the collaboration, the sharing of ideas, and the love of the music. So all of that comes out on the 'Caribbean Queen' song," he said.

Hitman Walle revealed that a video will be released for the project in May.
