Kabaka Pyramid and 'Jr Gong' serve up Kontraband
Following the release of the single ‘Kontraband’ featuring Grammy winner Damian Marley, reggae artiste Kabaka Pyramid will launch his highly anticipated debut album at the Bob Marley Museum tonight.
Also titled Kontraband, the project was executively produced by Marley and is expected to be a solid project with quality music.
Admission to the launch is free, and members of the public are being invited to share in the moment with the artiste and his Bebblerock family.
The event is set to start at 7 p.m. and will be hosted by Debbie Bissoon. The album and other merchandise will be on sale.
Music will be provided by ZJ Rush and ZJ Liquid.
Parking will be available at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
Shuttle service will be available to transfer guests from the parking location to the Bob Marley Museum.
Speaking with THE WEEKEND STAR about the project back in November, the entertainer expressed that having been on the music scene for more than five years, he believed it was time for him to release an official full-length album.
He said that after releasing a number of mixtapes and EPs throughout his career, 2018 would be the year when he takes his career to the next level with a debut album.
Kabaka Pyramid is popular for songs such as Never Gonna Be A Slave, Kaught Up, Well Done and Mi Alright with fellow singer Chronixx.
