Lando Genius drops new rhythm

Record producer/disc jock Lando Genius is upbeat about his latest production, the Dark Slaya rhythm, which features a slew of dancehall artistes.

The project was officially released in April and is available on all major online stores.

The rhythm features artistes such as Esco, Sanjay and Talis.

"I expect this rhythm to reach across all corners of the world and break barriers. We need to have more island artistes on the popular music charts worldwide. The overall production is well executed, and the project was mixed by DJ Cashflow Neil. Neil is one of the sickest mixers out there, and the world needs to know this as well," Lando Genius said.

The young producer, who is also a protege of DJ Sunshine, said the veteran DJ/

producer has inspired him to put his best foot forward.

He also noted that Cashflow Records has helped to harness his grasp of the music industry.

"I am one of those producers who believes in learning from the best because only that way we can move the culture forward. So I want to big up DJ Neil and Sunshine for the guidance. I believe in taking time because I take pride in what I do, and whatever I release, it has to be of good quality ... so everyone, just stay tuned," he said.

Akam currently has over 500,000 subscribers. A medley music video for the Dark Slaya rhythm compilation was recently filmed in Half-Way Tree.
