UK-based artiste Macini's recording Si Mi Ya has an accompanying dance created by Jamaica's Orville Hall from Dance Xpressionz.

In an interview with The STAR, Hall expressed pleasure at working with Macini. He was particularly happy that Jamaican culture continues to inspire persons from other countries, pointing out that persons like Macini, wanting to be actively involved in dancehall, should be an indication that the genre is doing something right.

"Dancehall continues to grow and inspire people across the globe. When you see people like Macini, who have a genuine love and passion for the music, it makes you look at all the things dancehall is doing right," he said. "I found working with the artiste fun and professional. He is based in the UK and we have a strong following there. Fans will enjoy the dance moves as well because it's cut to fit."

Those moves will be showcased in the upcoming video for the song. Hall will be working with Macini for the visuals. Macini told the STAR that it has been a joy working with Hall so far, and he's looking forward to them collaborating further for the music video.

With that said, Macini says social media played an integral role in making See Mi Yah popular. "Social media is a good tool to grade your progress and the impact you are having on people. I feel joyful to see people all over the world sharing their versions of the dance. This shows the world that my work and energy are well received," he said. "I am excited to share my talent with my Jamaican people where I was born and raised, I feel proud. I am hoping that this song will do great things for me as it is a universal song, relating to young, old, local and international. As an artiste, my mission is to inspire through my music. I have been consistent since 2012 and I believe this is my time to shine."

Known for his other singles Bad Gal, Man A General and So We Do It, Macini recently performed in Gambia and Germany and is gearing up for performances in London as well as promotional shows in Jamaica.
