CD Banging making musical moves
It's been a busy few months for well-known music insider CD Banging.
Among his latest projects, he recently started an event at the Constant Spring Arcade in Half-Way Tree called Hustlers Friday.
"We, the mixtape deejays, are getting a buzz from Hustlers Friday at the arcade between 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. where artistes can stop by and hear their songs and chat tunes. people love what a gwaan. It is a round-robin event, and my sound, CD Banging International, string up and play the tunes," he said.
The music multitasker (he is a dancehall deejay, selector, promoter, road manager, major street-mix DJ and producer) also started a YouTube top-10 countdown show BTV (Bangology Television), which is also broadcast from the arcade.
The entertainer is also pushing his latest rhythm project, Street Gad, which will be officially released today through his record label, Bangology Records.
The rhythm features heavy hitters like Wayne Wonder and Frankie Sly, as well as a mix of new and established artistes like Ganggoolie, Khalia, Mr Chumps, Destiny Sparta, JahDon and Double K.
CD Banging, whose given name is Omar McNab, is primarily known for his high-energy street mixes, and they have regularly racked up major figures online and strong sales in the streets.
He has also signed a few artistes to the Bangology Record label, such as Brukout, C9, Dappa Sass and Iyatek.
