Teejay ready for Sumfest
If his current momentum and most recent performances are any indicators, patrons at the upcoming Reggae Sumfest should be in for a treat when dancehall artiste Teejay graces the stage.
A native of the Glendevon community in the St James, Teejay says he is ready to deliver an energy-filled performance in front of his home crowd.
He is slated to perform on dancehall night on Friday, July 20, at the festival which will be held at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay.
"Everybody knows that Montego Bay is my place and Reggae Sumfest in one of the biggest festivals in the Caribbean for our music, so based on those factors alone, I have to make sure to bring my 'a-game' when I touch the stage on dancehall night," Teejay said.
He told THE STAR that he feels no pressure to deliver.
"Mobay already knows what I'm capable of when it comes to performing. It's just the rest of the world will now get a chance to see for themselves," he said.
Teejay, who recently wrapped up a pair of fiery performances at Chromatic Live and 100 Live, is currently labelled as one of the hottest new picks in dancehall. He continues to heat up the airwaves and social scene with the singles Buss Head and Up Top, both of which have amassed millions of views online.
