Gospel Spotlight: GOSPLASH promises to be action-packed
Markland Edwards, CEO of Action Entertainment, said this year's GOSPLASH will be an unforgettable show.
The event, which is scheduled to take place at Liguanea Club in New Kingston, will also feature performances by CeCe Winans, Chevelle Franklyn, Jermaine Edwards, Glacia Robinson, Christina Roshay, and Tiffany Hall-Johnson.
"I have heard from CeCe and she is very excited to share her ministry, singing some old favourites and new songs for the Jamaican audience," Edwards told THE WEEKEND STAR.
"I personally grew up in CeCe's music and her ministry, and to be the promoter bringing her back to Jamaica since her last appearance over a decade ago, it gives me great joy," he said. "This is the one time I believe I will be upfront and close, soaking up every line and every verse during her performance on Emancipation Day."
Held annually since 2013, GOSPLASH has featured top local and international gospel acts, including Papa San, DJ Nicholas, Prodigal Son, Tye Tribbett and Deitrick Haddon. The Emancipation Day show is being moved from Sugarman's Beach in Portmore to the Liguanea Golf Academy.
"We have scaled down from the full day of activities, due to the number of competing fun days that will be taking place on Emancipation Day. Patrons are accustomed to having a gospel showcase, and so Action commits to giving full entertainment to all audiences," Edwards said.
