Still a place for positive music - Prohgres

Reggae and dancehall artiste Prohgres said he will not quit the work he has begun to show aspiring artistes, and even those already in the business that there is much to gain from producing positive music.

The entertainer said he has been working for more than a decade to get persons to see that there is still a market for music with positive messages.

He explained that while keeping things positive, in a world that seemingly embraces the opposite, gets hard at times, he has found great reward in the music he has been releasing throughout his career.

"I do music that appeals to everyone. it takes hard work to be in the business and keep it positive, but as a young entertainer, I want the generation after me to listen to my music and be positively impacted," he said. "The crime rate in Jamaica is too high and as such, I am willing to do my part and influence the youths to choose a different path."

He is hoping that his recent releases, Energy Drainer, Paranoid and Nuh Too Friendly, will aid in his cause to positively impact the youth.

There is a lesson to be learnt in all three songs, lessons Proghres says will encourage young people to keep their heads up and stay clear of bad energy and wrongdoings.

He said all three tracks have already been receiving great support on the streets, with Nuh Too Friendly already receiving close to 200,000 views on YouTube since its release last month.
