DJ Damion's 'Do This' creating a buzz overseas

Selector-turned-recording artiste DJ Damion, is pleased with the reception internationally, for his song called Do This, a co-production for his budding Damz Music production imprint and Gallis Nation entertainment (GNE).

The energetic single which speaks to females, was released in April and has reportedly found favour in countries like Costa Rica, Panama, United States, The Cayman Islands, Japan and Italy.

DJ Damion, given name Damion Mitchell, also part member of the Western Kingston-based Uncontainables sound told THE STAR, "The feedback is great out there. It's just that Jamaica nuh really get the 'full hundred'. People see it on my social media and say it tuff."

However he anticipates a change locally, especially after the release of the music video.

"I plan to hit the streets across Jamaica but I am waiting to release the video first," he told THE STAR.

The single is part of the Red Label Rhythm, which also features artiste such as Raymie Rich, Labba, Mayday and Lisa Hyper.

Do This is also available on all music platforms and is distributed by Zojak.

DJ Damion told THE STAR that he has been in music production since 2009 and that was how he grew into a recording artiste.

He said, "I am ready to go further with the artistry and productions in 2018. I am doing trap beats and set to release three new riddims in 2018, Beach Front riddim, Wuk Truck riddim and Our Time riddim."
