Llamar 'Riff Raff' Brown is well known in the local music industry. Within the fraternity as a producer, and sought-after as a keyboardist.

The public is familiar with him through his Grammy-nominated production work. With those skills under his belt, the next step would be to establish his own production house.

Now, Riff Raff is making bold steps in the development of his own imprint, Nebilus Records, and with such an extensive repertoire, it's no surprise that Riff Raff is up to his neck in work.

Earlier this summer, Nebilus' first officially affiliated talent, Point Zero, caught a bit of a buzz with his viral hit, Katana.

Motivated by motorcycle stunts and outlandish dance moves by Marvin the Beast, the song tallied more than four million views on Instagram.

"We want to work this song as much as possible. It kind of tapered off and then it picked up again," Riff Raff told THE STAR.

He said there has been a recent swell of interest in Panama. As a result, Point Zero is currently collaborating with recording artistes El Bowen and Joker from Panama.

"Now, we have to go down there to do some radio and press. The song tek off down there. They always do remixes. Like my production Set Up Shop with Damian Marley, there's a Panamanian remix," Riff Raff revealed. "We're preparing to shoot the video for Katana in September. We actually went out and scouted a few spots this weekend."

Nebilus Records is already poised for the release of Point Zero's next single, Camera.

As a keyboardist, Riff Raff has toured with artistes including Spragga Benz, T.O.K., Stephen Marley, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer.

He has produced music for countless others, including for Raging Fyah's Grammy-nominated album, Everlasting.

But Point Zero is not the only artiste on the Nebilus Records' roster.

Riff Raff has been in the studio with Rally Banks (Magnum Kings and Queens 2017 contestant), who is scheduled to release a track in October.

He also has a few tracks on Jo-Mersa Marley's debut album, and is working with songstress Abby Dallas.

Nebilus Records is also gearing up for the release of Feluke's EP, Insight, along with Riff Raff's new Love Train Rhythm.

"It has 18 songs. I don't know how that happened," he said. A song from the rhythm currently in rotation is Raging Fyah's Rebel.
