Dancehall artiste Ganggoolie is the latest industry person to take issue with Shauna Chyn's controversial song, 'Suicidal'. In the song, Chyn encourages women to collect money for sexual favours, pointing out that 'free f**k a rape'.

Although Chyn explained that it was never her intention to trivialise or make light of an issue as serious as rape, many have found fault her choice of expression. Ganggoolie, in particular, believes that as a public figure with clear influence, Chyn's statement was irresponsible and could cause serious problems.

In an interview with THE STAR, the artiste expressed that while there are many women who will understand that Chyn's expressions were figurative, there are some who may believe they are actually being forced into sex if they are not being 'paid'.

"A real female weh wise nah go look pan it da way deh (literally). But picture di one dem weh weak, and every likkle thing dem jump up, dem a go take it da way deh," he said. "A even dat dem a say now enuh, because me go pan couple corner, and a dat di female dem a say, say free f**k a rape," he said.

In addition to the serious implications regarding the rape sentiment, Ganggoolie told THE STAR that with so many women being killed by their lovers for menial issues, Chyn is adding fuel to fire by encouraging women to end their relationships or cheat if their spouses are not able to support them financially.

Pointing out that he condemns all forms of violence against women, the artiste said that men have gotten abusive after they have spend big sums of money on their partners and then the relationship ends.

"Nuff a these domestic affairs weh yuh see a happen caused by a woman deciding to leave a man because nothing nah gwaan and she a go move to higher ground. Shauna Chyn lose dis one man because is like a money love she a promote and not natural love, and the way the country a run we need natural love. We can't mek the crime rate a go up no more, and when Shauna Chyn a go say things like this, nuff more a di domestic thing dem a go gwaan," Ganggoolie said.
