With the popularity of his single 'Glory To God' among both the secular and religious circles, Wayne Marshall said he is expecting to see a diverse mix of people at the upcoming Magnum Star Live which will be held in the Lucea Square, Hanover on Friday November 23.

Marshall, given name Wayne Mitchell, has been honing his talents in music for approximately 18 years, known notably for collaborations with other popular names in reggae and dancehall.

The collaborations will not be missing from his set as he tells us, "I am going to go through the catalogue from when I just started to where I am now."

"The aim is to draw core fans from as many different sectors of society so that we can celebrate as one Jamaica. It is an added plus that it is a free show with so many big names in entertainment billed to perform with this too I expect the event will attract a wide range of people," he added.

BRING MY A-GAME

Marshall is featured along with Gyptian (with whom he is currently working to release new music) as well as Shuga, Jah Vinci and Gage to perform at the second leg of the series and will double as the celebration of THE STAR's 67th birthday on Saturday.

Marshall noted that he had not performed in the parish for many years.

"I miss Lucea so me a go come out fi dem and ensure that I bring my A-game the patrons can expect a good show full of energy," he said.

Marshall is anticipating the opportunity to interact with the residents and said that his plan is to arrive at the venue early "in hopes of seeing all the performances and soak up the energy."

Although the Overcome entertainer has been doing back to back performances, he said the preparation for Magnum Star Live has been slightly different.

"I have already put myself in the mindset to be on stage. I have meditated on the show, the type of vibe that is going to be there, from what the Lucea town looks like to seeing myself on the stage in order to envision what I want to bring and what I want to do. That's how I do it with shows of this nature," he said.
