Last weekend, dancehall star Spice took to Instagram Live to close out 2018 by getting many things off her chest. The entertainer allowed fans across the globe to ask her questions, most of which she responded to in her usual candid, controversial, and 'peppery' style.

Leaving no stone unturned, the Indicator singer fielded a variety of questions ranging from her recently launched Grace Hamilton Women's Empowerment Foundation, a possible return to Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta, and an upcoming YouTube talk series called Spice World to why she doesn't frequently collaborate with female artistes.

"Sometimes you don't see me do a lot of songs with female artistes because it's always a problem. Them complicated, full a problem. Dem egotistical," Spice said.

Not every female recording artiste was held under the gun. Spice declared that she would readily collaborate with Pamputtae, who she describes as having a "good, clean heart". However, the Under Fire singer expressed regret at collaborating with D'Angel on the 2017 song No Worries. "The year ah end, so mi wah some things off my chest. Pamputtae ah mi sister. I would definitely do a song with Pamputtae. Angel coulda stay," she added.

From her perspective, the collaboration was borne out of D'Angel's persistence. The reality show star said: "Angel is a girl weh call down mi phone. Angel used to call down mi phone day in day night - mi couldn't sleep ah mi yaad. Remember nuttin did ah gwaan fi Angel until me give her the song No Worries. Mi do di song, unu see seh it hit, and it gi har sumn. So anything weh a gwaan fi Angel right now, ah me mek it a gwaan. Mi nah ask yuh. Ah tell mi ah tell yuh. Nuttin did ah gwaan fi Angel."

Yuh nuh memba Spice

According to Spice, D'Angel's constant communication has come to a halt. "Song come out and after that di gyal nuh call back mi phone. When yuh get di song, yuh nuh memba Spice," she said.

Currently in Florida, USA, D'Angel told The STAR that she has been too preoccupied and therefore has not seen the 'spicey' video. "I've been travelling ... so I don't really know what's going on, except for what's happening with my career at this time. I'm too focused on D'Angel and what I have in store for my fans for 2019, to be caught up in anything else that's going on," the I'm Blessed singer said.

Set to perform at an annual New Year's Eve ball in the Sunshine State, D'Angel said: "I'll be ringing in the new year doing what I do best - entertain. And it's the first time they're booking an artiste, so it's a blessing."

D'Angel will be back in Jamaica for a performance on January 5, then she is off again to Canada. "Booked and busy and giving God thanks," she said.
