June 12, 2019

Jamaica’s newest reggae sensation, Koffee, has confirmed that she will be a special guest star on United States (US) hit late-night show, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’. The artiste confirmed the news via Instagram by simply revealing the date the episode is set to air. Koffee will make her US TV debut this Thursday.

However, the 19-year-old is yet to reveal which song she will perform. Two of her biggest tracks to date, Toast and Rapture, are said to be in the running. Toast, the bigger of the two tracks, is featured in Jordan Peele’s new horror film, US.

The entertainer follows in the footsteps of some of the country’s other top reggae artistes, like Chronixx and Protoje, who made their US TV debuts recently. Both entertainers appeared on the NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Chronixx made his debut last year, while Protoje made his appearance last month.

Koffee, who recently made history when she became the youngest reggae artiste to debut at number one on the Billboard Reggae chart, has been making huge strides on the international circuit. Along with her impressive Billboard stint, Koffee also enjoyed success on the Apples iTunes chart with her Rapture EP. Her EP’s success helped to land her a spot on Apple Music’s Up Next series, making her the first Jamaican to feature on the series.

The EP has sold close to 1,000 copies since its release.
