Lisa Hyper celebrates birthday
Lisa Hyper is a model of resilience and courage as well as proof that hard work does pay off.
The former 'First Lady' of the Vybz Kartel-led Portmore Empire is currently enjoying good street buzz fuelled by a slew of singles including the much-loved collaboration with Vybz Kartel, Come Ova, along with Girls Night Out.
Lisa Hyper celebrated her birthday in fine style last Sunday at Rebel T's HQ (Dumbarton Avenue) with local and international celebrity patrons turning out.
According to Lisa Hyper, she was humbled by the love shown by her peers.
"I must say thanks to God, my team, and every one who came out to support me. I cannot even put into words how wonderful it felt to see so many of my co-workers in attendance, including the 'Grung Gad' himself, Bounty Killer, and the Gaza VP Sikka Rymes. Right now I am still basking in the love," she said.
Lisa Hyper has been enjoying a career resurgence since the later part of the summer, which has kept her busy in studio as well as honouring booking and business-related matters.
"The brand Lisa Hyper has grown tremendously, and I must say while it is not easy to balance recording with all the other aspects of the business that I am now, into, it's a challenge that I have accepted with open arms and an open mind. I have a great team and a very loyal fan base, so right now, even when me tired, me still have to be working," said Lisa Hyper.
