Sikka Rymes being treated at KPH - Entertainer shot at by unknown assailants this morning

Fast-rising dancehall artiste, Sikka Rymes, is now undergoing surgery at the Kingston Public Hospital after being shot early this morning.

According to information obtained from the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the shooting happened at approximately 3:45 a.m. when the entertainer, whose birth name is Javian Chambers, was coming from an event in Sandy Park, St Andrew. Reports are that upon reaching a stoplight in the vicinity of the Sovereign Shopping Centre, the entertainer's vehicle was shot at by unknown assailants. Police says it appears that the entertainer was being trailed.

It is still unclear at this time if the entertainer was alone in the vehicle or if the perpetrators were travelling in a car or on a bike.
