Last year he performed alongside Popcaan on the Unruly Fest stage, but at this year's edition, JaFrass got a solo slot in prime time.

While many may associate his booking with the friendship he has with Popcaan, the deejay says he got his own set out of sheer hard work.

"It's no secret that Popcaan a me family, me bro. But me here tonight in my own set, is because him see the hard work me a put in and him acknowledge it," said JaFrass. "This is a huge platform, and me go out deh and show di people dem say a me talent me use. I stepped out, I did my best. The crowd take the performance, dem gimme di energy and me give dem back a vibe."

Pointing out that he believes in taking his time and waiting for his turn in music, the deejay anticipates 2020 to be a very good year for him.

"Yuh can look out for my EP produced by NotNice next year, because we a go deal wid things differently. Whole heap a new music, whole heap a visuals, whole heap a new thing. Yuh know how the music thing go already. Yuh have ups and downs and 2020 a go up," he said.

As a close friend of Popcaan, the deejay was among several who heaped praises on the Unruly Boss for conceptualising and executing an event like Unruly Fest, calling it one of the biggest shows in Jamaica right now.

"A just greatness and me nuh surprised, me did know. From the moment Popcaan said Unruly Fest, me know it was going to be great. Nothing but greatness, nuh inna dem man deh, so me only a look fi it get bigger and better," he said.
