When hardcore selector DJ Banka took over the consoles at Zulu Saturdayz, an entertainment event held at Headley Avenue in Drewsland, St Andrew, last Saturday night, the party was just about to get warm,

DJ Banka mixed his set, playing a range of songs, from dancing to ‘rude bwoy’ tunes. And he did what many selectors aren’t doing these days – allow the ladies to dance and express themselves.

“Money pull-up a mash up the dancehall,” he said. “Is like the man dem nah play for the ladies anymore.”

Several selectors have been accused of collecting money from patrons to hear a particular song repeated several times. DJ Banka made sure there was no space for it at Zulu Saturdayz, and the crowd appreciated his selections.

Here are the highlights.
