One selector who is used to being in the streets almost every night of the week is Boom Boom.

The Grants Pen-raised selector said his schedule has definitely changed and he is investing his time in other ventures and hobbies; but he is still making the rounds to entertain and maybe even on a wider scale.

"With most of us indoors, we are able to entertain the fans of reggae and dancehall all over the world from our homes, our living rooms - actually reaching more people," Boom Boom told THE WEEKEND STAR.

He has been hosting Boom Sundays Live from his Instagram page, and also plays for Uptown Mondays Live and Boasy Tuesdays Live through the same platform.

He said, "There are about 6,000 views for each event on average, and persons are still engaging in money pull ups, using CashApp and PayPal."

A backup plan

Boom Boom has long preached the importance of a backup plan and saving to the sound system and disc jockey community, and is now urging persons to use the time they have now, not only to perfect their talents, but to invest in productive activities. Recently, he gave a sneak peek of vegetables such as corn, tomatoes, Scotch bonnet and sweet peppers growing on a small farm to Instagram followers - a growing business venture with partner in crime, selector Harry Hype.

"I am not into watching television unless it's sports and Discovery channel, and of course the news. But I continue to listen to music among other things," he said. "And at the moment I have a top-10 dancehall list people must press play on during the quarantine and chill." Starting from number 10, he shared:

10. Spice - Rolling

9. Jada Kingdom - Heavy

8. Sikka Rymes and Vybz Kartel - Like I'm Superman

7. Govana - HAMANTS Convo

6. Intence - Leave If Yuh Waan Leave

5. Aidonia - Aircraft (Weh Di Genna Deh)

4. Mavado - Top Shotta

3. Ding Dong - Watch Dem

2. Skillibeng - Fifty Bag

1. Skillibeng - Brik Pan Brik

"If music is not your thing, find something positive to occupy your time, and I must advise everybody to stay focused and stay inside, off the roads. Don't allow negative to change your path - discipline is a must. At the end of the day, we want this crisis to be over so we can get our country up and running again. Law enforcers are doing a great job, and our prime minister, and we don't want to undo the efforts. Maintain the social distance, and for those young men who want to riot, tear down the place, remember eyes are all over, and as unuh quint to do wrongs, you going face jail ... do the right thing," Boom Boom advised.
