Dancehall entertainers Vershon and Hot Frass joined I-Octane in his living room for a live show, which he has dubbed the 'Barefoot Festival featuring I-Octane and friends', last Monday.

I-Octane told THE WEEKEND STAR that the event got that name because of the precautions he takes with persons entering his home.

However, the Barefoot Festival was met with questions from viewers who tuned into the live stream on Instagram.

One question was about the number of persons attending, which I-Octane does not believe was against any regulation.

"I see where a few persons were saying social distancing, but it was not a lot of people. It may have appeared that way because each artiste may have come with a guest, but we made every effort to stay six feet away from each other," he said. "But as I said, all the proper precautions were put in place, such as all those entering removing their shoes, washing hands with warm water and soap. They sanitised before coming inside, and the house was also cleaned right through."

He also mentioned that the equipment, including microphone and DJ console, were wiped with Lysol and bleach.

It was the second staging of the live stream concert series which received an estimated 15,000 online attendees, over the entertainer's social media pages.

The previous staging, held on Monday, March 23, featured his daughter Octavia and Banxx Di Artiste.

He shared, "Not having a live audience in the same space makes it a totally different experience, and it helps if the artistes can come together to give that energy - that is what I was aiming to do with the at-home, live-streamed festival. But I will host it again if other artistes can be part of it."

I-Octane expressed desires to continue the Barefoot Festival every Monday, if he gets the support of others in the music industry.
