While most ears were focused on the potentially damaging connotations within Dexta Daps' latest track Breaking News, female recording artiste Sattin says there's more to the lyrics than the line, " the bwoy love him belly just poison him" which inspired her to write an answer to the track.

"Contrary to what people think, it's a good song that is actually sending the message to be careful of your actions, man or woman," she expressed. "It is always put together very well and might not be comforting for some persons. But those who think negatively of it are overthinking the lyrics in the worse way. The track I have to answer Breaking News is a female who actually goes ahead taking the advice to poison her man and is left with a body to deal with."

Sattin says as a recording artiste, the job to entertain can be a challenge, especially when addressing topics from sex to abuse.

The singjay's first single, Put It Pon Yuh, was released 10 years ago. She has a small catalogue of high-energy dancehall songs including Nah Let Go, and the tracks Want All Lose All, Ready Fi Di Love and Watch Dat.

Throughout her recording career, Sattin has provided backup and intro vocals on tracks for Beenie Man, Anthony Red Rose and Khago.

Her dedication to music is noticeable by the tattoo across her chest that reads, 'La musica es mi motivacion' (music is my motivation), and she expressed that her recent motivation is Breaking News, which peaked at the number one position on YouTube and is currently trending in the top five.

"I have had persons criticise the type of music I like to do - as a sexual artiste - I suppose people call the music 'raw', but I believe we should all get past that mentality, or way of thinking. Stop dwelling on just the raunchiness and focus more on the delivery of an entertainer whether male or female," she told THE STAR. "My message in the Breaking News reply is if you do it, you going to have more to deal with than a man that giving you problem. Overall abuse is wrong."

She is also promoting the song A Nuh My Fault, which speaks to bad-mind behaviour.
