Flairy, Fling, Genna Bounce, Snappinz, Gas, Badman Forward and Shampoo are just a few of the dances birthed by Ding Dong and the Ravers Clavers dance crew.

As leader of the group, Ding Dong could easily be crowned king of dancing for his contribution to the development of the industry.

Still, although he has the credentials to take the king title, Ding Dong says claiming crowns has never been something he desired.

"Yuh see me, people opinions, status, certificates and labels weh dem put on pan people, it doesn't necessarily mean a thing to me. I'm just a happy soul, blessed to be doing what I love. Titles are not a focus for Ding Dong. I just want to continue doing what I love to the best of my ability," he said. "I am just here to make people happy, to help them have fun and to be the light of dancehall. If there was a title I would want, that would be it, to be that flair of light weh people need inna dem heart from dancehall. Titles come with too much controversy more while. Me nuh need that. I just want to have fun and make the people have fun."

Speaking of controversy, the entertainer says he tries his best to steer clear of drama.

"If yuh know me, yuh know I don't like drama. I keep a lot of things private because not everything should be dealt with on the outside. If me a go address anything even close to personal it will be in a song, and it nah go be in any way pointed at a specific person," he said.

He admitted that his latest single, Watch Dem, is a "likkle bit personal". "I not going to lie. It did bring out a whole heap a things weh me did a deal wid but me nuh call nuh name or single out nobody," he said.

Ding Dong said that since its release, the track has been a hit with the people. He believes the content makes it relatable.

"When me sing that song me never even do it knowing it woulda reach so many people but people all over a link me. I think I can say it is probably one of the realest songs I have produced for the year. Everybody can relate to it even if yuh don't like me. Even if yah Christian, Rastafarian, every single soul can relate to that song because everybody in some way have experience wid bad mind or pretentious people," he said.
