After years of not communicating with recording artiste Mr Vegas, aspiring artiste and social media vlogger Dr Love recently reached out to the entertainer about collaborating on a project.

Dr Love told THE STAR that after recently deciding to hone his skills as a music producer, he approached Mr Vegas with a rhythm and was pleasantly surprised when the artiste agreed to voice for him.

"Me and Vegas wasn't friends for over eight years. Mi mean we nuh talk none at all, and I decided I would reach out to him and ask him for a strength, and he did show me support. Him never show mi no bad face, and ended up doing a song for me called Entanglement. When people hear it dem a go love it," said Dr Love. "It just show dat when you make mature decisions and make an effort to put away childish behaviours, things happen."

Dr Love said he has been trying his hand at producing for a number of years, but only recently decided he would take things seriously. He said he came to the realisation that vlogging can only take him so far and that he needed to invest in something more sustainable.

'Revamping and Rebuilding'

"All of this was strategic because I have been cooling off the 'passa passa' on social media. I was revamping and rebuilding to come with something of quality and substance. After a while, you can't keep doing the same things over and over. You have to give up certain things and move if you want to get better and grow," he said. "People will be surprised when they hear the project, because I don't think they'll be expecting me to produce this calibre of artistes."

Dr Love said that the project will feature artistes including Tony Rebel, Anthony B, Abby Dallas and Da'Ville.

"I wanted various artistes on the project, but mi never know how mi a go dweet because artistes charge money fi everything. Mi call up Tony Rebel because mi and him pull good. Mi ask him fi a strength and him gimme. Mi call Anthony B, Da'Ville and the others, and the whole a dem say no problem. The struggles weh mi been through to get to this point, and now I'm here and I'm getting support, dat alone show mi say a my time now," he said.

Dr Love says he expects to release the rhythm by the end of September.
