Reggae artiste Dillgin had just released his Money Tree EP when the deadly COVID-19 virus put the world on lockdown.

The entertainer had hardly got the chance to promote the project on tours he had planned before he had to go into quarantine.

But the artiste said he did not allow the dark times brought on by the lockdown to cloud his path.

"Without a vision the people perish, and so you always have to have a vision and a goal at all times. I started the year with very clear goals, but then came the pandemic. I have met some of my goals and some I have yet to accomplish, because we have all been on lockdown and can't really do much. Still, I'm pressing on. I am coping with all the pandemic has brought, and I'm ensuring that my music still gets done," he said. "The growth I have seen in these times has been encouraging. I am a lot more focused and deliberate with the work that I put out. I want to ensure that I don't get complacent in this time and allow my work to fall off."

The artiste says he has mostly been focused on delivering uplifting songs. He says he believes they are what the world needs right now to help get through "difficult times".

"I want to push out music that will touch the soul of the people, and so it makes me feel good doing these songs and seeing how people embrace them when I put them out," he said. "You can expect lots of new music from Dillgin. My new single, Sweet You Up, was released on all digital platforms last Friday. Also, I have the video for My Life that I will be dropping soon."
