Fans recently found out that Swatwinz dancer, Janel Mitchell, was expecting her first child when they saw her glowing announcement online. Now, she's dancing for two during the heat of this global pandemic.

Famous for creating exciting dancehall moves alongside her twin, Janeil, she is eager to perform on a new stage as a mother. Although the timing was unexpected, she is extremely happy for the blessing. "Most pregnant mothers aren't strong enough to move around; they have to be on bed rest. So it's amazing that I am still able to do what I love, be vibrant and full of energy, while I have this little one growing inside of me," she told Dancers' Paradise.

COVID-19 slowed things down in the world, but Mitchell was happy to go at a steady pace and teach more dance classes while on lockdown.

"It hasn't been hard for me. I'm not working, other than doing my classes, but I don't see it as a setback. I see it as a time to grow and focus on my baby. Luckily, I have my baby's father, who is there for me and supports me in every way he can. Life is good," the 'One Drop' queen shared. In virtual classes, international students marvel at her stamina and beautiful baby bump.

The unwavering support she has received from her relatives, in-laws and spouse is incredible. And she continues to be blown away by the love she has received on social media.

With no morning sickness and minimal alterations to the wardrobe, Mitchell's life hasn't changed, yet.

"I know that after I have, my little bundle of joy comes into this world; life will change. Certain dances that I used to do before, I'm going to be a little bit more cleaner and cautious with my movement," she shared.

Once the baby arrives, she and Janeil are also moving forward with plans to build a new brand. Dubbed Swaenergy, a fusion of 'Swatwinz' and what it represents, energy, the team will roll out gym wear, sportswear and other types of clothing next year.

They are also looking towards conducting gym workouts, shifting the focus to fitness in a quest to tackle a healthier approach to life. They are also looking to add more content to their YouTube channel, Swatwinz TV. But, for now, Mitchell can't wait to meet her son.

"I'm looking forward to seeing my baby healthy and strong, teaching him how to read, walk and talk. I know it's going to be rough, but I'm going to try to be one of the best parents for my child and be there for him 100 per cent. I don't want to miss any moments. I want to be there for everything," she said.
