Yaawdie encourages people to ‘Live life’

Reggae artiste Yaawdi has a message of empowerment, positivity, and encouragement for his listeners with his new single, Live Life.

The track features Sizzla Reemus K and Iyah More. The lyrics give valuable advice to everyone, urging them to 'live life' and live it with no regrets.

"The song is about uplifting people in the society to let them understand that we all have one life to live so we should live to the fullest," said Yaawdie.

Hailing from Martinique, the recording artiste has been doing music since he was a child, but it wasn't until 2020 when he made the trek to Jamaica that he recorded his first song at the famed Judgment Yard.

"I want to express a big thank you to the legendary Sizzla Kalonji for recognising my love for music and showing me the way to pursue it," he said.

Describing his music as uplifting, real, motivational, and relatable, Yaawdie is quite happy with the feedback that he has been receiving thus far.

"People have been gravitating to the song positively, and also, quite a few have been surprised to know that I am capable of doing music," he said. Yaawdie also has an EP out, which was released on December 4.

The artiste has been spending much of his time in the studio during the pandemic, working on new projects.

"My plan for the future is to continue pursuing my passion, which is music, to empower young people such as myself with hope and also to create life that me and my family and I will be proud of," he said.
