'King of the Dancehall' Beenie Man collaborates with Dre Island and Popcaan for the single Fun in the Sun, the lead track from his forthcoming album, Simma.

The song, produced by MD Entertainment, brings positive vibrations.

"We were in the middle of finalising the songs for the album. After listening, I realised that all that was missing was a song that was pushing positive vibrations, something prayerful and uplifting. That's when I mentioned it to Moses (Beenie Man). He left the studio, and he came back the next day with the song. He said he wanted Dre Island to help to convey the message we wanted to send," said Rohan 'Blue' Smith, Beenie Man's executive manager.

He continued "I made contact with Dre, set the studio time, he came and we recorded. The same night he came to voice, Popcaan stopped by the studio spontaneously. He felt the vibes and added his part to the song, which made it even more powerful."

Fun in the Sun is accompanied by a video directed by Steven Bernard of Cinema Gods, which was shot at several locations across the Corporate Area.

Simma is Beenie Man's follow-up album to 2016's Unstoppable, which topped out at number three on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. Simma, which bears the MD Entertainment label, is to be distributed by VP Records.
