The first annual staging of the Atlanta Independence Rum & Wine Festival is slated for Sunday, July 4, at Piedmont Park in Georgia.

Promoters of the festival, Jabari Productions, promises a premium yet down-to-earth experience.

Live music plays an integral part in the event. The line-up will be announced in its entirety at the festival's media launch, slated for Wednesday, May 26, 2021; however, the website presently lists reggae band Inner Circle and international recording artiste Cham as performers.

"Our full line-up will include soca, Afrobeats, dancehall, and reggae artistes. The live entertainment promises to provide a well-rounded line-up that will have a little bit of everything I know the attendees will enjoy," said CEO of Jabari Productions Clinton Garibaldi. "We are eager to create a long-lasting impact on Atlanta with the best of the Caribbean on display. This event will cater to the lovers of rum, wine, food, and local art."

To assist in creating a safe environment, promoters have consulted with several healthcare workers on a series of COVID-19 health and safety protocols that follow the guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the State of Georgia Department of Health.

Garibaldi said, "The health and safety of all festival-goers and staff is essential to us. We encourage all attendees to wear masks, social distance and sanitise where necessary. We are installing the necessary infrastructure to facilitate the measures," he said.
