Sri Lanka from Rifical Squad has returned to Jamaica from Sweden and he's wasting no time in getting back to the roots of his culture.

He is promoting three dance moves: 'Meke Place Nice', 'Tipsy' and 'Valley'.

"Tipsy was the first dance and was originally created in Europe, but I brought it back to Jamaica with me. While in the streets with Rifical Spade, warming up for the Tipsy dance, I came up with a new move," said Sri Lanka, given name Michael Taylor. Once he took it to the Rifical headquarters, the team decided, based on the nature and vibe of the dance, to name it 'Meke Place Nice'.

Making his way through the streets nightly was a usual pastime for the 'Calm Dem Down' dance creator, and it was there that he brought a unique energy to dancehall. Since creating the new move almost two weeks ago, the vibe in the streets has been crazy. He said that promoting the new dance has been a surreal experience.

"You have to come back to Jamaica to get the real party vibes. You get the real dancing and authentic feeling. The atmosphere is warm and everybody is just enjoying the moment. It gives me a different energy. It's really nice to be back home. There's nowhere like Jamaica," Sri Lanka said.

As wonderful as it has been to bring the vibes locally, what made the parties even more special was reuniting and vibing with his team after a two-year hiatus.

"Using these steps to unite my crew members and other teams out there, like Elite Team, really 'mek e place nice' man! It's a joy to see and experience," he said.

Known for being one of the pioneers in his field, Sri Lanka has also hosted dance sessions and classes at Rifical's headquarters to ensure that everyone learns the moves down to a science and can bring their own fire to the flow.

Sri Lanka and Rifical Squad just wrapped up a music video shoot with Richie Stephens for a single titled Valley, and they are promoting the matching dance in the process.

"These new dance moves are a spiritual flow and a powerful flow. I'm just here on Jamaican soil rewriting history and leaving them in mystery," Sri Lanka added.
