‘Horny Vibration’ takes centre stage at Dancehall Love
Days after the release of her provocative single, Horny Vibration, dancer-turned-artiste Daniiboo on Saturday held a successful staging of her Dancehall Love, which was a staple on the entertainment calendar before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The well-supported event was attended by the likes of dancehall veteran Bounty Killer, disc jock Boom Boom, and 2017 Magnum Queen of Dancehall Suspense. It was held at Bommas Entertainment Complex, 13 Mall Road, St Andrew.
In addition to heralding the return of entertainment following a near two-year lockdown due to the pandemic, Dancehall Love also proved to be a great platform for the promotion of Horny Vibration.
"I am excited and appreciative of the support I'm getting from the release of Horny Vibration. I have signed two bad dancers (Nina Matic and Butterfly) who now dance with me, and as the name suggests, you can expect a lot of vibration. Daniiboo is known for that so this is a good way to entertaining her fans who know me as a dancer and who are accepting me as an artiste," said Daniiboo, who wore a flaming hot bodysuit courtesy of Jahmar Design..
Dancehall Love was first hosted in 2017, and has been an annual event on the entertainment calendar in Kingston.
"The event was conceptualised to bring dancehall lovers in one place, and paid homage to the artistes, musicians, producers, and selectors that have waved the flag of the genre locally and internationally," said Ijah, Daniiboo's manager.
"This staging is extra special as we got the opportunity to bring out those patrons who have been inside for the past few years. [They are] outside again and now [they] can enjoy music they haven't heard in a while," Ijah added.
The musical entertainment was done by Sub Machine Sound, Wartana, DJ Banka, Boom Boom and Harry Hype, and Game Changaz (DJ Stainey and DJ Brandon).
