Up-and-coming artiste Sylxnce is manifesting commercial success for his new single, Patience Dweet.

The song was released last month by Makaveli Myzik with an accompanying music video.

" Patience Dweet is a hit song that can motivate all a the ghetto youths dem like myself," Sylxnce THE WEEKEND STAR. "I don't really hope, but me know Patience Dweet is going to go far, 'cause is a song everybody can relate to, even a five-year-old. It's a world song."

He recorded the song last October at the YVP Studio, pulling inspiration from "my life story, where I'm coming from to where I'm now".

The visuals, bearing elements of perceived success, like luxury vehicles and beautiful belles, have been watched more than 6,000 times. The 18-year-old said he has been receiving positive feedback, inclusive of people recording themselves singing the song.

Sylxnce, given name Nathan Clark, was raised in August Town, St Andrew, where, he said, "Violence is everywhere in the community, but I choose to do music." The decision was a natural one for the singer who was part of the school choirs.

"From New Providence [Primary School] days, me have a love for music, singing in the choir. It was the same at Papine High School; and in about eight grade I desired to make my own music, so I was always in the studio with Sizzla's son, Reemus K, who teach me a lot about music, and more producers, also," he said.

Deeming himself an R&B and reggae artiste, Sylxnce made his music debut one year ago with Mad and Mean, a collaboration with Reemus K and Little Man. As for the future, Sylxnce sees himself becoming an international artiste.

"I want to make my mark on the culture and encourage young talents who might not have the same opportunities. I see myself all over the world doing more shows, doing more songs," he said.
