Popular Spanish Town, St Catherine personality and businessman Sean Grant, known better as 'Moringa Boss', is shaking things up with his recent investment in music.

He released his first rhythm project titled 'Boss Riddim' in May, which features seven dancehall acts, including Chronic Law, Shaqstar, ZiZi 6ixx, Franco Wildlife, Travalaunch, Venom, and Mad Dawg. The rhythm is fused with bass, percussion and synth to add an element of the rock music genre.

"Music is self-expression and a true reflection of a journey throughout our everyday life, fiction and non-fiction. This project is to make my mark in the music industry at home and internationally, maintaining the original dancehall with the current upbeat that is being used by the younger generation of dancehall artistes," Moringa Boss told THE STAR.

He has garnered attention through his business, which focuses on making products using the moringa plant that is famous for its natural healing abilities. The company, Moringa Family Production, has grown over the past five years. He has got the support of members of the entertainment industry, including Iba Mahr, for whom he acted as road manager, and Bugle, who saw the entrepreneur in and around events selling what is dubbed the 'magic juice'.

"I entered the health food industry because I recognised that these items we make were not readily available in Jamaican stores, and I could fulfil that need. But I have been involved in the music industry since the early 2000s, working with Iba Mahr and also writing songs," said Moringa Boss.

Now, he has expressed an interest in producing for these artistes, among other top entertainers in reggae and dancehall, with an aim to "make music for every reasoning and for all seasons".

Since the release of Chronic Law's track on the rhythm, which is titled Speed, Moringa Boss said that he has been receiving career-changing feedback, both locally and internationally.

Last Friday, Moringa Boss Music label released the second track and music video by Shaqstar called Psychopathic.

"It took us about a year to record with each artiste for the project. After hearing the completed beat for the first time, I could pinpoint a few dancehall acts that I wanted to be featured on it, and he was one of them," Moringa Boss shared.
