Chappzs gives encouragement on ‘Moment’
Dancehall/reggae recording artiste Chappzs has released the video for his single Moment, which was produced by Talk of the Town Music.
The dancehall single has a feel-good energy inviting listeners to 'live in the moment'. Chappzs said that Moment is relatable to inner-city youths like him, who have been facing constant social-economic challenges. He sings ' What if mi never trust the process', sharing that things take time and patience.
The artiste has been consistently releasing new music online with singles such as Gold Card, Street Cred and Swizz Cheese, all of which have accompanying videos.
"I am focused. The music I am putting out now makes you want to enjoy life and live stress-free. I really believe that life is already stressful, so music should be an escape from all of that," said Chappzs.
The artiste, who hails from Jarrett Lane, Mountain View in Kingston, is inspired by the unique styles of Vybz Kartel, Tupac Shakur and Masicka, and the harmony and vocal projections of Jah Vinci.
"For me I like to balance my urban or street style with the right sounds and beats. The lyrics flow naturally when I get in the studio; I sing about the things I experience like most of the artistes I hope to emulate," said Chappzs, who both sings and deejays.
The artiste is set to release the remaining songs from his seven-track EP Rank Up, including Big Heart and These Streets.
"I have the support of my community, people weh rate and love mi, so it's all about working smarter from here on out," he said.
