Shifta, Konshens collab hits US iTunes chart
Jamaica-born, Florida-based recording artiste Shifta released his collaboration with Konshens Body Dey on April 14.
The collaboration has already charted at No. 2 on the USA iTunes Reggae Charts and has garnered the attention of the press in Florida and New York. The slow jam, which was produced by Padrino, is a dancehall single with a fusion of R&B. Body Dey was specifically written and sung for the ladies.
The video for the single, which was directed by Third World Don, features both Shifta and Konshens interacting with several voluptuous models.
"We have both been making songs for the sexy ladies for a while, so it only made sense we collaborated and gave them a summer anthem. The first day alone it had over 100,000 streams," said Shifta.
In addition to the release of Body Dey, Shifta is still seeing an increase in his streams and fan base after the release of another single So In Love featuring Jah Cure. The artiste also performed recently alongside artistes such as Plies, Pleasure P, and Mello Rackz at 'People Matter Fest' in Miami, Florida. During his performance, Shifta brought out Zeke Don and Safaree to share the stage with him with over 1000 patrons in attendance.
He said, "The performance was well received and we had a lot of Caribbean people in attendance. I always feel elated when I perform and I have fans in the crowd singing along."
Shifta has just started his promotional runs for Body Dey and is set to visit Jamaica this summer.
