Nigerian Afrobeat artiste Malam Spicey has expressed a desire to work with iconic dancehall stars on his upcoming EP TopShatta.

A huge fan of dancehall music, Malam Spicey is also looking forward to recording songs with several top Afrobeat artistes on the project.

"I'd love to work with some of my favourite dancehall artistes on this project. It would be a dream come true to record songs with Capleton, Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Bounty Killa, Popcaan, Burna Boy, and Davido. My management team is making the links, so I am very positive that it's going to happen," he said.

He started his music career in 2004 as a member of the popular Afrobeat group The Trybunalz, alongside BlackFace Naija, Rocksteady, and RasMyke.

"After several wonderful years of recording and performing together, I went solo. That's when I released 1005 Naira which earned me the title of Afrobeat Dancehall King in Nigeria. This hot single made way for the release of my first album, Special Request," he said.

Malam Spicey recently teamed up with US/Jamaica-based artiste management and production company Star ReggaeBeat to release the dancehall single One in a Million, which was produced by top-flight Nigerian producer Catalixx.

"It's pleasure to work with Star ReggaeBeat. Now we're working on my new EP," said Malam Spicey.
