Laa Lee is Magnum’s newest brand ambassador
Laa Lee has been unveiled as its newest ambassador of Magnum Tonic Wine, joining Spice and Ding Dong as the alcohol brand's major standard bearers.
Regional marketing manager for Magnum, Kamal Powell, in welcoming Laa Lee to the Campari Group and Magnum Tonic Wine, said bigger things are expected of him.
"I'm looking forward to a healthy relationship and a partnership that will continue to grow from strength to strength. Welcome and we're looking forward to greater and bigger things," Powell said at last Friday's Magnum All-Star Sound Clash held at 153 Olympic Way in St Andrew.
In response, the Floating artiste said that he was grateful to be part of the Magnum family. He noted that his journey as an entertainer began by chance, and he has learnt to grab the opportunities that life has presented him.
"Dem seh wah fi you a fi you... A one song mi start off wid and big up friends for real anywhere me guh -- big up Tower Hill -- Mi mother deh inna har bed, but she must proud, me a Magnum newest ambassador," he said.
"I grew up in the garrison as a baller for Arnett [Gardens] and one a mi fren dem video mi and it guh viral. Big up mi fren weh video mi. Thank God! But sometimes because of the music weh mi duh people feel like seh a just Laa Lee dat, but mi wah big up everybody weh support Laa Lee, and mi wah mek dem know seh dancehall need people like me fi mek people dance and feel happy," Laa Lee added.
He then went on to perform some of his mega hits such as Tip Inna It, Bird, Instruction and Dirt.
