Valiant grateful following Sumfest debut

Popular dancehall artiste Valiant is celebrating his achievement following a successful debut performance at Reggae Sumfest.

Sitting with THE STAR just moments after he graced the stage, Valiant said his performance was a "great experience".

"You know mi just come out fi enjoy miself and congratulate miself because you know, Sumfest is a milestone in dancehall, suh fi reach this far, and them a bash mi pon di song weh mi a do, mi give thanks," he said.

The Speed Off singer noted that while he was nervous, his performance was a love letter to himself.

"Memba seh you affi feel nervous enuh cause you nuh wah drop and people kinda picky. For me, it was me congratulating myself."

Entering the stage dressed in a grey suit, he opened his performance with North Carolina, telling the audience, "A mi first time a Sumfest and mi work hard".

Other songs performed include Dunce Cheque, Insomnia, Motorcade and Barbies, with a ballerina joining him on the stage.
