Since joining Romeich Entertainment last February, Dancing Rebel, given name Christina Nelson, has experienced exciting opportunities, including various event bookings, her participation on season two of The Social House and a notable signing with Lynk.
Adding to her recent achievements, Dancing Rebel has become the focal point of a popular TikTok dance challenge, a project she played a key role in creating. She explained how her creative process flowed naturally. "I'm a person weh mi just work from natural vibes, I don't like to be forced to make a choreography. She explained that it was Swiss Lee's idea to add the Clarks shoes to her outfit worn in the initial video, and that he gave valuable advice on which parts to include in the challenge.
Celebrating another win, Dancing Rebel won her first official TikTok match, which was hosted on her TikTok Live on September 25.
"The support from them was crazy and the support from the outsiders, my supports, me seriously never expect that amount of support and it speaks volume," Dancing Rebel told THE STAR.
She expressed that TikTok has become a source of empowerment for her, helping her to believe in herself, especially in moments of self-doubt. Through the platform, she has learnt that people genuinely love and support her, reinforcing her confidence.
Dancing Rebel's career goes beyond dance; she aims to bring joy to those battling depression by teaching in her classes and making dance videos, believing she can make someone's day better.
She admits that the dance world is not easy, but she encourages aspiring choreographers to keep pushing forward.
"Sometimes it might feel like it's not working out, but just continue pushing and be consistent. Keep up with what is relevant as it relates to social media platforms and believe in yourself, that is the first thing; and you have to have faith and push, because it is not easy."
Dancing Rebel hints that fans can anticipate more incredible choreography and future endorsements that she can't yet discuss.
